A casserole dish all family (including children) will love to eat.
Contains all the components of a perfect meal, with minimal investment of time.
8 servings – 410 calories per each dish that is a complete meal.
2 tablespoons of oil
4 cloves of garlic
1 red pepper
1 yellow pepper
Basket of fresh mushrooms
1 Kg minced meat (from a health standpoint choose chicken mixed in Turkey)
800 Gr of crushed tomatoes ( can be canned)
200 Gr of Tomato paste
200 Gr of frozen peas and carrots
Package of pasta (500 grams) of any kind you like, preferably whole wheat
Salt and black pepper
2 teaspoons of oregano
Two branches of rosemary leaves
2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
2 tablespoons of chopped fresh basil
In a Large pot, heat the oil. Peel and chop the onions. Add them to the pot and fry until golden.
Peel and slice the garlic cloves. Add them to the pot, and cook for another minute.
Cut the peppers into small cubes. Add them to the pot and cook to soften.
Slice the mushrooms, add them to the pot, and cook for another 2 – 3 minutes.
Add the grounded meat and stir, while cooking, with a fork in order to create crumbs. Once all the meat is white, add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and water until the sauce become watery.
Add the peas and carrots, all spices and herbs and bring it to a boil. Mix well and cook for another half an hour with the pot covered, on low fire.
Add the pasta to the pot (If you choose spaghetti break it before), add water so that the sauce also be quite thin. Continue to cook until the spaghetti is ready to eat. Note spaghetti absorbing water, so add water if necessary.
