Sesame seeds, after grinding are an excellent source of iron and calcium.
while making our own Homemade Halva, we control the amount of sweetness and use honey instead of sugar.
This Homemade Halva spread is a wonderful-creamy-textured-paste which answers us the need for a sweet delicious treat, and can easily replace the Halva from the shop which is lumpy, less healthy and sticks to the teeth.
A jar of Homemade Halva – 30 calories per teaspoon
Full cup of whole sesame tahini
1/3 cup honey
1. Mix the tahini with honey until a smooth mixture becomes.
The level of sweetness can be controlled by reducing or increasing the amount of honey in the recipe.
Recommended as a spread on a great bread slice, or as an add to your morning porridge on a wintery day.
